It was kind of a blah day, so I went out the front door and looked for something in the yard. Sure enough, these flowers caught my eye, mostly because of the combination of red and blue. I love the blue of the flowers and the red of the glass poppy. The flowers are there simply because we liked them. The poppy commemorates a friend who passed away more than 10 years ago and who loved poppies. We have a huge painting in our dining room for the same reason. We love the painting, but it’s the poppies that prompted us to buy it.
